In a scenic rural setting, Moonarch B&B is a friendly relaxing home, located on the same site which was once was home to a William Shaw in the 1840's from where he owned a brick factory. William Shaw was of the same family as the famous playwright George Bernard Shaw (1856 -1950).

Moonarch is situated on the R692 just off N76 south west of the small heritage town of Callan and just 10 minutes drive from Kilkenny city. This small local medieval town is the ancestral home to the Candler Family, founders of the Coca Cola company, James Hoban.. also to the architect of the White House and Tony O'Malley, world renowned artist.
Moonarch is an ideal location for walking and cycling or just strolling through unspoiled countryside traffic free roads, just breathing pure fresh air. |
